FAQ

Which storage is best?

Difficult to answer as everyone has their preference, but the preferred choice by our customers is the ottoman gas lift.

How long does delivery take?

10-14 days, this is to make and deliver your item.

Is the bed in stock?

We do not stock any item, this is because we offer a bespoke build a bed service which allows you to make it and customise it from scratch.

What is a split headboard?

A Split headboard is required when you cannot get either a regular or a larger headboard into your room. This could be for reasons such as a low ceiling or any tight turn at the top of the stairs. If you are confident a headboard will go up then there is no requirement to get a split headboard. From a visual perspective you cannot tell when a headboard is a split once it is assembled.

What is the difference between ottoman gas lift and metal gas lift?

A metal gas lift still has a slatted base which lifts up, the bed retains features of a non storage bed so still the same side rails etc. Ottoman gas lift is a hard base and comes as a complete box, this means it has a floor so the items are not on your carpet like they would be in the metal gas lift.

Is the assembly easy?

Yes, we provide instructions as well as give you cut outs for anything that may need inserting before hand. Bed frames are truly a plug and play, storage beds are also very similar but will require 2 people.

What colour should I get?

If you are unsure on what colour to go for we have a solution for you. We have a request a swatch feature allowing you to see the colours before purchasing from us. Here is a link https://dreamonbeds.co.uk/pages/request-a-swatch

Which mattress is right for me?

Luckily our team of bed experts are always on hand to give you expert advice. Briefly we recommend a full memory mattress if it is a soft feel you are wanting, orthopaedic if you are wanting a firmer mattress or a 3000 pocket mattress if you are wanting the best of both worlds. The 3000 pocket mattress is our best seller and ideal for any bad back sufferers. However with that in mind we always recommend consulting your GP to help any problems you may have.

I don't know what bed I want

Our team of experts are always happy to help. We have a range of headboard styles to suit any taste. We aim to reply to any message within 30 minutes. We have a range of headboard styles from winged, sleighs, scrolls and French crowned headboards. You can also view our Instagram, our username is the same as our website www.dreamonbeds.co.uk

Can I just replace my old mattress?

Although you can just replace your old mattress, this is not something we recommend. It is always advised to replace your base alongside this and the reasons are quite simple, not everything is visible to the human eye. As well as your mattress your base will go through equal wear, the two go hand in hand. The synergy effect is a good way to describe this, combined you will notice a far greater difference than you would separately.

I'm not sure on what options I want

We are always on hand to help you make decisions however the end decision is always ultimately yours. Having a bed or any item too small can be an issue, however one that is too big is never the same problem. For a bed specifically, you must measure to ensure the item will fit especially with upgraded headboards. Dimensions are available under every product to help you select the right size for you, headboard heights although down to preference can sometimes be restricted due to the house space and certain sizes not getting through.

Should I get a bed with storage?

"I have too much storage" said no one ever. We offer two types of storage with a bed, this is either ottoman gas lift or divan storage. The ottoman gas lift offers more storage, where as the divan not as much. If you like a bed we do not offer storage with, you have the option for a separate ottoman storage box at checkout.
